Only 1 adapter can be the master so here’s what to do.
There are 2 procedures,
- 1st scenario is if both show orange lights, (=both set as access pts):
- step 1
Have them close to each other, like on an extension strip, or dbl socket, they can be later repositioned;
press and hold [Config/F reset] on one; orange AP light starts to flash, keep holding [Config/F reset] until AP light goes out and then release it (abt 10 secs)
- step 2
wait approx 20-30 secs for adapter to reboot (you may see red status light flash of then on again during this time;
next press [Config/F reset] on other until AP starts flashing
- step 3
now press [Config/F reset] again on 1st adapter until AP light flashes (make sure this is done immediately after 2nd adapter) then release [Config/F reset] button.
after few secs the status lights should go green on both and AP light on 1st should be orange
-
- step 4
both can now be repositioned in original position.
- 2nd scenario – either
both AP lights off but status lights green or solid red (=set up wrong)
or 2 solid red lights and no AP (=set up wrong) whichever, follow this:Vision’s Comtrend Powerline adaptors
- step 1
close together again
press and hold [Config/F reset] on one; when orange AP light starts to flash release the button; (status may be red or green at this point) once it stops flashing it should be solid orange, so then press [Config/F reset] on same adapter until AP light starts flashing again. then release it.
next press [Config/F reset] on 2nd adapter until AP starts flashing (immediately after 1st adapter) then release [Config/F reset] button
2nd adapter status light may be red or green at this point
after a few secs status lights should go green on both adapters and AP light on 1st should be orange
reposition to original location.
