If you’re a Pay & Go customer and have the iPhone OS 3.0 Software, you’ll need to change your iPhone APN (data) settings. This will get features like mobile internet and picture messaging (MMS) working. Details below.
If you’re a Pay Monthly customer but don’t have the iPhone Bolt On, or a specific iPhone tariff, then you won’t be able to get the full iPhone experience.
Here’s what you’ll need to do:
- From the main screen of your iPhone tap Settings > General > Network
- Under Cellular Data Network
- For Pay & Go customers. Tap APN and change idata.o2.co.uk and enter payandgo.o2.co.uk (Please note that “o2” needs to be written with a letter “o” and not a zero)
- For Pay Monthly customers. Tap APN and change idata.o2.co.uk and enter mobile.o2.co.uk (Please note that “o2” needs to be written with a letter “o” and not a zero)
- You don’t need to change your username and password
